Hanging High Pull

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

Barbell and weight plates

STARTING POSITION

Standing

PROCEDURE

  1. Find the appropriately weighted bar.
  2. Hold the bar in front of the body with arms fully extended.
  3. Bend your knees and take a shoulder width grip on the bar.
  4. Pull upward explosively driving the bar up towards your chest.
  5. As you move upward your feet should almost leave the floor.
  6. Lower the bar back to the starting position and repeat.

COACHING KEYS

  • Move the bar upward explosively.
  • Use a certified strength or olympic lifting coach for instruction.
