Wood Chop

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

None

STARTING POSITION

Standing

PROCEDURE

  1. Begin with feet shoulder width apart and hands in the air out to one side of the body.
  2. Slowly bring the hands down across the body in a wood chopping motion.
  3. Slowly return to the starting position.
  4. Repeat for the suggested number of repetitions.
  5. Repeat with the other side.

COACHING KEYS

  • As you are bringing the arms across the body lean into the opposing hip.
  • Keep the abdominals tight or flexed./li>
