BOSU Lateral Leg Lift

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

BOSU

STARTING POSITION

On your side with hip on BOSU, forearm on the floor and elbow underneath the shoulder.

PROCEDURE

  1. Lift legs into the air while contracting the lateral abdominal muscles (obliques)
  2. Lower legs back to the starting position and repeat.
  3. Repeat with the other side.

COACHING KEYS

  • Keep Body in a straight line.
  • Keep abdominals tight.
  • Brace one hand on the BOSU for more stability.

YOU SHOULD FEEL IT

In lateral side of the trunk (the side that is furthest away from the floor).

SKI PURPOSE

Improves core strength, which helps improve stability on the slopes.
