Equipment Needed
Dumbbell
Starting Position
Standing with dumbbell in hand.
Procedure
- Find the appropriately weighted dumbbell.
- Hold the dumbbell straight in front of the body with hand centered between legs.
- Squat down until your glutes almost touch the floor.
- The dumbbell should be between the legs and almost touching the floor.
- Explosively move upward briefly coming off the floor, while at the same time bringing the arm overhead.
- Land and compress into the ground by squatting down and then returning to the starting position.
- Repeat.
Coaching Keys
- This s a modified Olympic lift and you should seek the proper coaching before performing.
- Keep abdominals tight.
- Move very explosively.
