Overhead Medicine Ball Squat

Equipment Needed

Medicine Ball

Starting Position

Find the appropriately weighted medicine ball. Put your arms in the air, holding medicine ball overhead.

Procedure

  1. Make sure to keep your arms back and overhead.
  2. Take a shoulder width stance with your feet.
  3. Squat down until you have a 90 degree bend at the knee
  4. Push upward until you reach the starting position.
  5. Repeat.

Coaching Keys

  • Keep the pressure on the heels of your feet.
  • Make sure to not let your arms and/or torso drop downward too far.

You Should Feel it...

In your thighs, core and shoulders.

Improves total body strength and balance.
