Alternating Medicine Ball Push Up

Equipment Needed

Medicine Ball

Starting Position

Push Up Position with one hand on medicine ball

Procedure

  1. Place hands shoulder width apart.
  2. Lower your body downward making sure to keep your body parallel with the floor
  3. Return to the starting position.
  4. Roll the ball over to the other hand
  5. Lower your body downward making sure to keep your body parallel with the floor
  6. Return to the starting position.
  7. Repeat.

Coaching Keys

 
  • Keep your body parallel with the floor.
  • Focus on using the chest, triceps and shoulders when performing the movement.
  • Keep the abdominals tight.
  • As you get comfortable, increase your speed.

You Should Feel it...

In your chest, triceps, shoulders and abdominals.
