Inverted Calf Stretch

Equipment Needed

None

Starting Position

kneeling with hands on the ground about shoulder width apart

Procedure

  1. Move from a kneeling position to your feet, but maintain your hand position on the floor.
  2. Both heels of feet should be in the air with legs almost straight.
  3. Bring one foot behind the other and pull down on its heel, stretching the calf.
  4. Hold for the suggested period of time and repeat with the other calf.

Coaching Keys

  • Keep abdominals tight.
  • Keep a slight bend to your knee.

In your calf.

Improves calf flexibility and helps prevent injury.
